Software-defined aviation hardware

ARX9

Software-defined aircraft hardware for telemetry, video and connected flight records.

ARX9 is the aircraft-side brain of Airsuite: a modular flight computer, telemetry node, logger and streaming source designed to connect the aircraft to the cloud. It is built to support gliders and ultralights from day one, and certified general aviation aircraft where certification permits.

The hardware platform remains fundamentally the same. What changes is the software profile, regulatory configuration and product layer activated for each aircraft type.

Same device. Different mission.

Hardware stays common. Software defines the use case.

In a glider, ARX9 can act as a flight computer, logger, telemetry node, vario interface, live-streaming source and AirRace data bridge.

In an ultralight, it can power live tracking, cockpit video, training review, digital logbook enrichment and safety recording.

In certified general aviation, subject to certification, it can become part of a broader connected cockpit and operational data system.

One engineering platform can scale across multiple aviation markets through software, configuration and certification path, reducing development complexity and accelerating deployment.

The idea
Innovative

ARX9 is designed for the next generation of aviation intelligence: live telemetry, automatic uploads, flight replay, thermal awareness, personalised performance models, race data automation, training review and future AI-assisted flight interpretation. The aircraft does not just record the flight — it becomes part of a connected intelligence layer.

Modular

Start with the core flight computer and logger. Add the modules your aircraft or operation needs: video, connectivity, external sensors, vario functions, race interface, airfield edge streaming or advanced telemetry. One platform, multiple aircraft profiles.

Functional

Built for aviation users who need reliability, not complexity: robust power architecture, flight logging, live data, offline resilience, over-the-air updates, simple account pairing and integration with AirStream, AirMan and AirRace.

What ARX9 enables

Target specification — subject to final hardware validation.

  • Flight-data logging
  • GNSS / GPS positioning
  • High-rate telemetry capture
  • Live-streaming capability
  • AirStream video and telemetry bridge
  • AirMan logbook enrichment
  • AirRace automatic data interface
  • Over-the-air software updates
  • Expandable module architecture
  • Managed hardware replacement model
Managed hardware, not disposable instruments

Aviation hardware that improves after installation.

ARX9 is not conceived as a traditional one-off instrument purchase. It is part of a managed hardware and software service. Operators pay a lower initial amount and an ongoing running fee that keeps the device updated, connected and supported.

Software upgrades are delivered automatically. New Airsuite features can be activated over time. Hardware faults are handled through rapid substitution: return the faulty unit, receive a replacement, and let the original device be reconditioned for future deployment.

A circular hardware model with lower adoption friction, faster innovation and less downtime for aviation users.

Connected to the full ecosystem
  • AirStreamLive position, telemetry, alerts and video during flight.
  • AirManFlight records, training logs, aircraft history, tow events, maintenance triggers and operational evidence after landing.
  • AirRaceAutomatic flight-data ingestion, task reconstruction, thermal analysis, scoring support and race intelligence without manual file handling.
Certification and installation status

ARX9 is positioned for non-certified use cases depending on jurisdiction.

ARX9 is currently positioned for experimental, glider, ultralight and non-certified use cases depending on jurisdiction. Installation in certified aircraft may require approval by the relevant aviation authority and is subject to the applicable certification and installation path. ARX9 is not presented as a certified primary flight instrument unless and until such certification is obtained.
